At the completion of the hollow coring all cores are blown off the surface, fertiliser applied and prepared for top dressing. Unfortunately we had rain on Monday night which meant we could not use our top dressing unit as three tonnes of sand and machinery combined would have led to wheel ruts in the putting surface. So we went old school. The boys hand spread 45 tonnes of sand over the greens using shovels only. We got the sand out in time and rubbed in prior to the weather cooling off. A long day but well worth the effort.
